We have sheetrock!

The "rockers" were here this week and now things are really starting to come together. They actually look like rooms now. We have also decided to do hardwood floors in the kitchen and the den and our new bedroom. That should be done this week. We are getting so excited!! Our new bedroom is amazing and I especially love the big window and the huge walk in closets.

I thought it would be cool to see the before pics to compare the progress. This is the kitchen and the bathroom before. Also the den before the walls were torn down and the back of the house when we had the deck put on in August of 2003.

Its getting really crazy around here!

Today has been a big day. The wall in our kitchen was knocked down, the bathroom was knocked down and the wall leading to our new bedroom was knocked down. Now we can really see how big everything is!! It looks amazing! All the windows are in. we love our bedroom window- it really brightens up the room. Alexa and Luke are miraculously sleeping though the construction most days! I think they are just so used to the noise. We are surviving living in our dining room now, we cant wait until we can be in our huge den!!

The frame to our new bedroom is up!! It looks amazing. Our house looks so big. Today the walls in the old den are coming down so we can really see how big the room will look. Things are coming along pretty fast!

The framing is up!

Things are getting pretty crazy around here but things are moving along pretty quickly. The dumpster is on our front lawn along with Alexa's pool and the BBQ. Here is a pic of Chris bbq'ing. The framing of the kitchen extention and den are up. Today the existing den is being ripped off. Its pretty strange to look in our room and see the sky instead of a roof. So far both kids are doing well with the noise. Luke is actually napping now while the roof is being ripped off! Chris has been on vacation these past two weeks so we will see how next week goes when I am home alone with them both during the craziness!! Grammies here we come :)
